. enjoy one more warm, beautiful day from florida right up the eastern seaboard. you'll start off with sunshine, but then as that cold front approaches, some clouds will increase during the day. there's a few showers on the front, but it's really not much. the only significant weather is up here near the storm center heading into canada. duluth had some snow overnight. expecting 3 to 5 inches. even minneapolis has had a burst and band of snow set up over the top of you. wouldn't surprise me to get a fluffy inch or two out of it. temperatures only in the low 20s. definitely a fluffy, light snow and the upper peninsula of michigan, once we get that lake enhancement going, we'll probably end up getting some areas, 6 to 10 inches over the next two days. snowy, cold and chilly. even chicago could see snow flurries today at 36. notice from boston to d.c., temperatures holding on. one more nice day. same with the southeast. really no problems whatsoever on the west coast. california looks good. up towards seattle, that's where we also have a storm moving in with rain, veronica. overall, just

the small troop of men, army soldiers marching from one place to another in florida, which was really the first site of the men to most americans at that time. what that did was set in motion a moment that led to a war against the seminole indians, one of the overlooked moments in our past, which is something also try to do, tell the stories that the textbooks to leave out. most americans have never heard of the longest most costly war in american history up until vietnam, which was the seminole war fought in florida. so that moment was as gripping and astonishing in a way to people about time as 9/11 was to bus. pearl harbor certainly was again. to each generation has had one of these moment that we do forget that we've been through this before. obviously, we are going through right now in a sense. i'm a new yorker. i ensure new york and we are living through this extraordinary moment. i just want to say briefly thank you to the people who are expressing such concern and care for new york and this region. we have a long way to go and a lot to do. on my way into the studio this mornin

busy, right? still no election results from florida yet. florida is the post office of states. the election has been over for three days, but already, there's a new survey that says hillary clinton is favored to win the iowa caucuses in 2016. the village. historically ulu has not wanted snow. she is like a new yorker moving to florida but i hear she is enjoying the snow. so this is a fun day and weekend for the animals, so thank you all for that. speaking of holidays, we are trying something new this year. we are going to do wild lights. the zoo will be lit up. of course the lights will have animal and wild themes, open until 8:00. this is free for zoo members. i think it gives a chance for families and members to enjoy the zoo during the evening, so we look forward to that. speaking of winter, it is time for winter zoo camp. 's some of the campers. this is run for two weeks, run by joe fitting, vice president of education over 30 years. hundreds of thousands of kids come through the camp programs annually and informational fees can be found on our zoo web site. speaking of kids this year we have partnered with the san francisco public library. they have come on the san francisco free days. this has been wildly popular. we think the public libraries on the first wednesday, free services from the library. if the kids can'

, stay... and stay tuned. woman: i got it in florida about 17 years ago. and i got it at an estate sale, but i don't know what i paid for it. i forgot. gary piattoni: can you guess? somewhere probably around five dollars. well, it's really charming, and it's a bronze. it's what they call an austrian cold-painted bronze. this cat also has a secret, doesn't it? that's right. the cat opens up, and it converts to a little naughty image here. right. and it's kind of, i would think, an early transformer. this was probably done around 1910. there was a very famous artist that made these. his name was bergman. and he did large-scale sculptures. but he always signed his small "naughty bronzes," "namgreb," which is "bergman" spelled backwards. oh. and he always signed his pieces. this piece does not have bergman's signature, so i have to assume it is a colleague or a contemporary of his. but it does have the austria mark on the back, which indicates that it is an austrian bronze, and again, probably dates circa 1900. so what you've got here is a lovely little naughty bronze, by day, kitty, a

" magazine article i referred to describe a woman who had been a pediatric nurse in florida and became an episcopal priest, close to $100,000. she had to sell her house and she sold her car and took a vow of poverty to make it through that period. why not come up with better ways for people to say for this transition that so many more going through? there was another article in "the wall street journal" that describes the growing number of boomers who were tapping into the children's 529 accounts to go back to school, whether they were going from being an episcopal priest to a pediatric nurse and vice versa or some other combination. we have individual retirement accounts. i'd like to see individual purpose accounts where people save for their own transition and they don't have to go through their children's 529 account. at the policy level, why not take social security more flexible? why not enable people to take a year or two of social security in their 50's for example to go back to school or to do an encore fellowship or to do national service for a year and have people go to work
